Infra Corporation has been developing service management software since 1991 and maintains regional head offices in London, Los Angeles and Sydney, as well as a global network of distributors across all continents.

With the 2003 release of its infraEnterprise version 7.0 web-based product, Infra has confirmed its positioning on the ITIL enterprise market.

Version 7.0 contains a number of enterprise focused advances on its predecessor, notably: more comprehensive support for ITIL processes (infraEnterprise is ITIL verified for incident, problem, chang, configuration and service level management); .NET and Web Services integration with third party applications; and increased functionality available through the application’s Customer Portal, including knowledge bank and auto customer survey.

One of the application’s key strengths remains its 100% Web architecture. Infra was one of the first developers to take a 100% Web product to market (in early 2000), and as such the architecture has already been proven over several years of real-world implementations.

The Web architecture means the application delivers its full functionality entirely via Web browser, on any Web enabled device. It also means it can be rolled out globally from a single database and server without requiring configuration across multiple servers and PCs.

An advantage the product has over many competitors is the full integration of all processes in a single application interface and database. For example, change management has been developed as a comprehensive, separately licensed module within the same application, fully integrated with incident, problem and configuration management. Change management is delivered as a multi-threaded task and approval system, incorporating full dependencies.

infraEnterprise offers a complete out of the box solution which is fully customisable by editing the html templates on which the application is built. More significantly, it is possible using non-propriety industry standard tools, to customise almost any component of the application, from interface entities such as forms, reports and email templates, to SQL queries for custom searches, stored procedures and J-Script validation.

In summary, infraEnterprise provides a comprehensive ITIL verified solution particularly suited for dispersed or global implementations.
